1. This is horrifying. And to condone such barbaric behavior in the name of cultural differences is disgusting. Wrong is wrong, no matter where it is being done or who is doing it. Many have broken moral compasses. Or they feel that ignorance is sheer bliss.
I agree with your perspective. 🙂

    1. I perused your writing these last several minutes. I’m honoured to have you comment on mine.

      Thank you!

        1. You didn’t know the Devil could blush, either. Still, here we are.

          Thanks again. 😊

  2. This is indeed a matter of concern.
You have wonderfully explained the difference between disinformation and misinformation.
Yes, perception is what we want to see and not exactly the truth.
Dear Devil, you may have suffered at the hands of some divine propaganda. It’s difficult to say. But let’s hope that your voice isn’t just beaten down because of your notorious reputation. After all, that too could be the result of a huge conspiracy.
    Wonderful sharing! 🙂

    1. Thank you – and I mean this – for taking the time to read what I write. It’s refreshing to see genuine engagement. I will reply in kind.

  3. Scepticism, Motive, and Emotion are three very valid points.
I agree that facts must have solid backing, not just whims and fancies that delight the ego and warm the pockets.
I think the pandemic has been a time when misinformation has spread like wildfire. And there have been several reasons for this. The first and foremost, I believe, is fear. The fear of the unknown which was closely followed by the crazy antics of disbelievers. Opposing everything for the sake of dim-witted propaganda.
I feel we are still being misled and the end to this is nowhere near.
Your articles are so meaningful and honest. 🙂

  4. This is a wonderful confession.
I think you write from the heart but not without the support of an intellectual mind.
But If Ashley thinks otherwise, then you must consider.
Yes less can be more when its meaningfully expressed.
Waiting to read more of your thoughts, dear Devil. 🙂

    1. Thank you!

I think the goal is to write every article as it needs to be written. Some deserve more and others need less.

      Like people, I guess 😉

  5. Nice rules. Thoughtful ones.
Allowing others to be themselves while one continues the journey of contemplation is the best gesture.
Yes, respect must never falter unless condemning faulty behaviour is absolutely necessary. Right and wrong don’t always have to be two extremes. Live life as you wish but give that liberty to others too.
Thank you, Devil, for these lovely snippets of wisdom. 🙂

  6. Well said.
I wish people would stop acting as if they were born in a lab and have been researching their facts since they were in diapers.
    So much is nonsensical hearsay.
And those who contradict facts and statistics need to recheck their brain neurons.
Being well informed can be difficult when so many theories are simply for unlawful gains. Have to use the mind well. 🙂

  7. Write more, thats all I have to say. Literally, it seems as though you relied on the video to make your point. You clearly know what youre talking about, why throw away your intelligence on just posting videos to your site when you could be giving us something informative to read?

  8. Lovely ones!
I think you’ve got a deep understanding of the human psyche. It doesn’t simply come from knowledge but from sufficient experience.
Yes, interpretation often has no specific boundaries and we all understand what we want according to our own convenience and suitability.
    Well said. 🙂

  9. Thank you. I have been around. I travelled extensively as a young human, and later continued to discover the world as an adult. I’m flattered by your commendation of my knowledge of people; The human psyche is the one thing that has always intrigued me.

I find subjectivity to be both, a vice and a very useful tool. I have achieved many cool things by exploiting human biases.

Thank you as always for your comments. It means much to me when people take the time to reply.

    1. I might be tempted to send you a copy. The factual account of the events is currently in the editing phase. My friends might also get a copy of that one 😉

Thank you for your comment 🙂

      1. That is very kind of you. I so wish that you give in to your temptation and that I receive one now. 🙂
Yes, editing is a long-drawn stage. I wish you much success. It sounds like a good one.

  10. You have spoken on behalf of so many of us. It’s a bloody disgrace what’s happening there today. Free for all. Humanity is not a word in the books of such savages. They are propelling their atrocities upon sickening ideologies. Religion is often just a charade.
It’s a curse to be a woman at the mercy of this blatant exertion of barbarism.

    1. It’s sad. I with all my metaphorical and allegorical power, I feel impotent. I have not felt the kind of anxiety I did after writing this piece in a long time. I feel powerless in changing the circumstances of millions of women around the world, who still live as second-class citizen. I feel deeply for the girl child, who deserves much more than what human history has given her.

  11. Thank you so much, dear Devil.
I’m so humbled by this. If my words could make a positive impact, then that’s such an honor and pleasure.
Your writing inspires the reader to think and rethink while diving deeper beneath the surface.
It takes a knowledgeable mind, tender heart, and enlightened spirit to inspire others.🙂

  12. People only see and address problems that bear a personal touch. Though we all inhabit Earth, our primary homes are the houses and towns or cities we live in. As long as there’s not too much amiss there, then who cares about the bigger stuff.
I think redundant thinking and it’s not our problem attitude is a huge concern in today’s day and age. 🙂

  13. Whatsapp is one of the platforms where so much crap is flung around. And people actually eat it up and share it like it’s the only truth that exists.

  14. Yes, social media and messaging apps, like any mass communication media in the past, have become platforms for misinformation dissemination and surveillance. I read today that social media is legal wiretapping. Most of it unfortunately is the result of human emotion – wanting something to be true because it feels that way is more acceptable to people than facing the actual truth.

    1. Ha ha! Yes, we should laugh at ourselves. The funny thing (see what I did there?) is that I’m known for liking “bad” jokes. I just couldn’t laugh at these ones.

      Thank you for reading 🙂

  15. At times, we are deceived because we want to be. I’ve seen this happening in families and personal relationships. The reasons can be many. That gut feeling is usually never wrong. 🙂

    1. Yes, self-deception is invariably an emotional response to experience. It’s easier to accept lies from people we love and respect.

    1. Hi! I’m glad it worked on you! Yours would be an exceptional mind to own.

I owe you an email. I’ll send it shortly.

  16. It’s plain tiring and no apparent benefits. Just a waste of time, mind, and energy. Yet people still do it. They are really dissatisfied with themselves. Shifting the focus to other topics.

  17. The idea of questioning everything for the benefit of knowledge has shifted to questioning anything that people don’t want to be true.

I don’t blame people for being unhappy, but I have a problem with those who prey on their confusion and grief for financial or political advancement.

Thank you, as always, for your comments. I’ve just started this and it’s good to have minds like yours around.

    1. Let’s hope it gets to at least a few people. Thanks, as always, for stopping by. I’m in need of inspiration today; I’ll stop by your site to find it 🙂

  18. Even when I like something I read, I usually never share it unless it’s something that probably won’t be accessible to many people and there’s an advantage or learning in reading it. Otherwise, everyone is sufficiently exposed to everything thanks to excessive sharing. 🙂

  19. Strong points put across. Lust is often associated with physical desires. But it’s application is much broader. I believe that free thinking and openminded analysis is the only way to live a balanced life. There’s no room for redundant thinking. 🙂

    1. You understand my mission. This is all about critical thinking and open-minded analysis of the world around us. Thank you!

    1. You’ll get a copy as soon as it’s printed. Specially signed by this Devil himself. Thank you 😊
