FROM THE FIrst CHAPTER OF A BOOK STILL UNTITLED DUE TO SECURITY CONCERNS.
His door slams closed as he stands still waiting for the lights to go out. Days at M.D.C are hellish and nights are the only time he can focus on what matters, his family and surviving for his family.
Days here are different than the cold nights in the streets of Toronto in many ways. The walls are cold and the people are dangerous, but the security of the bars between his life and the monsters in his unit all allows him to think about his wife and children for longer than a few minutes.
As the lights fade, he travels back in time – back to a time to when things made sense. Fake names, fake people and fake companies…
“How did I get here?” he asks himself in that state of heightened awareness. He remembers how he knew they were there for him in the hotel in New York, how he could see it, how he could sense it
